Poem: Never Forget

Move with the fire in your tongue and the passion in your feet

I’ve deemed the fleeting words inside out

Withheld thoughts lost in dissonance

Draw the memories in the sand close to the shore.

Watch the water as it takes away what you see.

But what you see is never lost. If you let it be true to your heart.

Flex your mind around this idea,

There’s an energy here that we can’t quite explain

There’s a moment here that we can’t quite grasp

I’m laying here wishing that the moon would come sooner

So my shadow will leave.

The tides will rise and I’ll welcome you

I can build you a world.

Leaving to a place where we are free

Drift away and find the key

Never forget

Never forget
